DesignSponge Envy

I have creative envy. DesignSponge has this amazing DIY section that inspires me a ton! A lot of the projects they showcase aren't these huge, unrealistic "yeah-it's-DIY-but-did-I-mention-Martha Stewart-is-the-one-who-did-it-herself?" kind of project. It just shows that a little elbow grease and some imagination can transform a piece of furniture into a work of art. I can't wait to do some thrift store shopping and garage sale hopping to make some of my own pieces of art! I want to start with some sanding and painting a nightstand but one day I will reupholster a chair! Baby steps...baby steps.

One of my closest friends, Melissa, got married a week ago. It was so fun to hear her go on about how much fun she had on her honeymoon and how much she loves being married. I couldn't help but think about how much I love being married to Raj and how much fun I have with him. A little over a year has gone by since we have said our vows and I'm happy to say that I'm more in love now than I was a year ago. I don't know if there are is any kind of test that indicates how well a marriage is doing but talking to a "just married" bride shined some light on my own union.

I'm glad I passed. :)
